TEMCO
The Tasmanian Electro Metallurgical Company Pty Ltd (TEMCO) was Australia's only producer of manganese alloys when it was officially opened on May 11, 1962.
Forty years on TEMCO retains that status supplying manganese alloys, an essential additive in the production of steel, to customers around the world.
We export to Asia, China, the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Japan. Eighty percent of our product is exported.
Our four furnaces produce a total of 250,000 tonnes of manganese alloy, and our experience assures quality and consistency of supply.
TEMCO assures high standards through accreditation of international standards of Quality, Environment and Safety management systems, and a number of BHP Billiton management systems.
Based at Bell Bay, Tasmania, Australia, TEMCO is a major Tasmanian employer and contributes significantly to the economy and to the local community.
